Weddings & Events at Moonlight Basin

Imagine a Big Sky Montana resort -based special event in a setting so spectacular that guests leave with lasting memories and exceptional stories. Moonlight Basin features one of the most memorable “I DO” backdrops in the Rockies along with facilities for other unforgettable events, such as rehearsal dinners, corporate retreats, family gatherings, anniversary parties, and more.

Signature Venue – Moonlight Lodge

With a towering stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows highlighting majestic mountain views, wide-open patios, and a touch of rustic elegance in the décor, Moonlight Lodge is an ideal venue for up to 200 people. Walk down the impressive staircase and make a grand entrance for an indoor wedding or event, say your vows on the outdoor patio underneath the spectacular Lone Peak, or enjoy an indoor/outdoor combination event. Moonlight Lodge features a variety of gathering areas within its spacious floor plan, with a bar and lounge, fireplace seating, and different dining options customized to create the perfect party.

Additional Venues

With a variety of venues at Moonlight Basin, events can be tailored to suit specific needs. Some guests prefer a wedding ceremony or private party in an open field with 360-degree views and mountain vistas as the backdrop. The casual indoor/outdoor setting at our Headwaters Grille is suited for more casual functions, barbeques, wedding parties, family reunions, and small gatherings.
