Skiwees
Skiwees is a specialized SnowSports program, and is designed as a starter program for skiers ages 3 & 4 years. Always under the careful guidance of experienced instructors, students in the Skiwees program will develop fundamental skills to start off on the right foot. But more importantly, they’ll do it while making friends and having FUN! This course is now available as a 6 week or 4 week program!
2012-13 Program Information
Skiwees classes are now held seven days a week, and are available as a 6 week or 4 week course.
Dates:
6 week program begins week of Wednesday, January 2.
4 week program begins week of Wednesday, February 27.
Program offered daily, parent selects which day child attends.
Time:
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Registration Fee:
$220- 6 week program/ $147- 4 week program (Prices include instruction and snack from Headwaters Grille)
Ratio:
1 coach to 3 children, maximum. Lift tickets are required for all participants.
Children 5 years and under always ski for free at Moonlight Basin and can obtain a season pass through the Season Pass Office.

All Mountain Kids and All Mountain Riders
Please note- the 4 week session of All Mountain Kids is full.
This specialty SnowSports program is designed for young skiers (aged 5-14 years) and riders (aged 7-14 years). Always under the careful guidance of experienced coaches, students in the All Mountain Kids program will build confidence and develop skills in a safe and supportive environment. But more importantly, they’ll do it while making friends and having FUN! This course is now available as a 6 week or 4 week program!

6 week program:
Saturday- January 5- February 9, 2013
Sunday- January 6- February 10, 2013
4 week program:
Saturday- March 2-23, 2013
Sunday- March 3-24, 2013
Time:
9:30 am – 3:00 pm
Registration Fee:
$360- 6 week program/ $240- 4 week program (includes instruction and lunch)
Ratio:
Junior kids 5-6 years: 1 coach to 3 children, maximum. Senior kids 7-14 years: 1 coach to 7 children, maximum.
Please be aware that lower level groups will be coached in the fundamentals of skiing or riding until they reach an ability level that will allow them to safely move into more advanced terrain. Program will conclude with a party for participants, parents and coaches.
Children age 5 and under ski FREE. Youths age 6-10 qualify for a complementary season pass with their paid-in-full enrollment in specialty snowsports programs. Please note that participants aged 11 years or older will be required to purchase a Moonlight Basin Lift Ticket or Season Pass for each day they attend the program. Be sure to ask about our M-BAR-T program for kids in grades 6-12!

Freeride Team
Moonlight Basin is excited to offer a Freeride Team training program. Building on our very successful All Mountain Kids program, the Freeride Team has been developed for those that have regularly participated in our All Mountain Kids program or are new to Moonlight Basin and want to explore the more competitive side to SnowSports. The program will encompass park and big mountain. Each session will be focused on developing technical & tactical skills, terrain/feature knowledge, and athlete safety.

Two day Competitive Team program runs on Saturdays and Sundays
Dates:
16 consecutive weeks: Saturday, December 15, 2012 – Saturday, March 30, 2013
Time:
9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Registration Fee:
Development Team 16 week program + One Holiday Camp $795.
Holiday Camp tentatively scheduled for December 26-28, 2012
Competitive Team 16 week, 2 day program + One Holiday Camp (Saturday and Sunday): $1450
Please note that costs associated with participation in events away from Moonlight are not included in these fees, other than coaching. Ratio: 1 coach to 6 athletes, maximum.

Lift tickets are required for all athletes. Athletes age 7-10 will receive a complementary season pass with their paid-in-full enrollment on the Freeride team.
