Moonlight Basin Thanks MontanaJanuary 10, 2009, Big Sky, Montana - With lift tickets at $15 and a bison burger meal for $5, Montanans joined Moonlight Basin for it 2nd Annual Montana Appreciation Day in record numbers.“We couldn’t have asked for a better day. With the combination of 5 inches of fresh powder, a great ticket deal, and big blue skies, we experienced our largest skier visits in our 5 year history.” said Greg Pack, Moonlight Basin’s General Manager. “That is the great thing about Moonlight Basin we can have record numbers and there is still plenty of terrain and snow for everyone to enjoy.” All three villages at Moonlight Basin were buzzing with activity, with a steady flow of traffic arriving until well after 1:00pm. In addition, the Skyline Link Express was bringing bus-loads to the Pony Express lodge. Moonlight Basin’s sponsorship of the Link Express provides all riders a fare-free ride between Bozeman and Big Sky. “We were very excited to see skiers and riders from all across the state for the celebration of our 5th Anniversary as a ski resort.” said Janette May, Director of Sales & Marketing. “We visited with several guests who said this was their first time experiencing Moonlight Basin. Plus it was wonderful to see people who had not skied for a number of years but came out for this fantastic deal and to remember how much fun skiing and riding could be. There were a lot of smiling faces.” Moonlight Basin has received a total of 21 inches of new snow in the past 5 days, making for some great skiing conditions.
