Moonlight Basin Freeskiing World Tour Qualifier - March 22-25

Moonlight Basin has just been annouced as the host of the sole qualifier stop on the 2011-2012 Subaru Freeskiing World Tour. This skier-only event is an important component to the tour because it gives unknown athletes a chance to pre-qualify for the 2013 tour. It also allows Moonlight Basin to showcase our spectacular Headwaters terrain.

Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam 2012 - Saturday, February 4


The Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is Volcom’s amateur snowboard contest series with a stop at Moonlight Basin for the 5th time. The event is absolutely free, on a first come first serve basis, for snowboarders only. Boasts tons of free prizes and PB&J sandwiches! Also, everyone who enters walks away with a Volcom PBRJ shirt plus other goodies.

Sign up the day of the event at the Madison Village Base Area or at volcom.com starting 2 weeks prior to the event.


Huck-A-Berry Jam 2012 - Saturday, March 10

This ski and snowboard slopestyle competition highlights Moonlight Basin’s Zero Gravity Terrain Park features. Competition will be held in the Zero Gravity Terrain Park under the Six Shooter lift. Lift ticket required. Discounted competitor tickets available.

Entry fee is $25 and includes lunch and an event t-shirt. Day of registration only at the Headwaters Grille from 8am-9am.

***HELMETS REQUIRED FOR COMPETITION*** Helmet rentals available for $10 at Moonride Rentals.

Headwaters Spring Runoff 2012 - Saturday, March 31

Moonlight Basin is hosting its 7th Headwaters Spring Runoff.  This year's event will be a freeride event only. This big mountain event draws an amazing caliber of skiers, riders and telemarkers from all across the region.  Moonlight Basin’s Headwaters, known as the steepest in-bound terrain, becomes the focal point for this exciting competition.  Its high visibility and energy level makes it a great spectator event!
