Hiking Trails NOW Open

Moonlight’s summer trail system is now officially open for the season. Explore our 10 miles of summer trails including the newly open Ulrey’s Loop trail, 3.9 mile loop that starts at the Moonlight Lodge and wraps around Ulrey’s Lake. Hiking and mountain biking are permitted, but no motorized vehicles.

Summer Spa Special

The Moonlight Spa is now offering a spa summer special throughout the summer. Guests of Moonlight Spa have access to our relaxing sanctuary and use of the Moonlight Basin pool and exercise facilities on the day of your treatment. A $30 value. Enjoy a full suite of treatments including massages, facials, and body wraps. In addition to The Sanctuary lounge, we offer a heated outdoor pool, herbal steam room, cascading waterfall, and fitness area.

Looking for a unique experience to highlight your visit to the Big Sky? Book a horseback ride with Cedar Mountain Corrals at Moonlight Basin. Explore trails that previously have never been accessible to the public on horseback, including Lee Metcalf Wilderness, Beehive Basin, North Fork drainage, and Bear Basin.

Yoga on the Deck of the Moonlight Lodge

Prepare for your day on the mountain with morning yoga on the deck of the Moonlight Lodge with local yoga instructor, Delilah Eakman. Delilah's Yoga on the Deck will address balance, breath, alignment, the core, flexibility in the hips and knees, upper body alignment and strength. These exercises will be done in a fun, creative and inclusive manner while enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Yoga on the Deck is offered at 9:00am Mondays and Fridays, running July 2 through September 6.

Join Us for a Guided Hike

If you would like a guided exploration of Moonlight Basin’s flora and fauna, join our very own wildlife specialist, Marc Glines for a guided hike. These informative explorations start at 9am every Wednesday and Saturday from July through mid-September. All hikes will leave from the Mountain Concierge desk located in the Moonlight Lodge. Hike typically last one hour and are suitable for children 10 and older.
