Sledding Hours of Operation: The Blazing Saddles sledding hill will open for the 2011-12 Winter Season on December 10, 2011 (weather and conditions permitting). All riders must have a ticket. Tickets are FREE at the Season Pass office. Sleds: $10 per sled Family Discount: 4 sleds for $30 Dog Sledding Experience the beauty of Moonlight Basin in an unforgettable adventure - a dog sled trip from Spirit of the North. By dog sled, you’ll gain access to stunning landscape normally closed to the public. It’s a truly unique form of winter travel! Dog sled trips are offered by Spirit of the North.
Snowshoeing As easy as walking, snowshoeing lets you experience what most people will never see. Get back to nature one step at a time with nothing but the wildlife, scenery, and snow blowing off the branches on Moonlight Basin’s own designated snowshoe trails. The Ulerys Lake Trail runs 2.5 breathtaking miles between the Moonlight Lodge and Madison Village Base Area, looping around Lower Ulreys Lake. Lee’s Pool trail is a 3 mile loop that winds through natural beauty starting at the Madison Village Base Area and down to the scenic Lee’s Pool.
Experience the beauty of Montana’s finest terrain by gliding through some of the most breathtaking trails in North America. Lone Mountain Ranch, only 10 miles away, is home to the number one Nordic trail system in North America. West Yellowstone also offers many miles of cross country skiing and access into Yellowstone National Park.

Snowcoach Tours Yellowstone springs to life as you sit back and relax in the unique vehicle known as a snowcoach. Tours come complete with an expert guide, who will provide a narrated overview of the geology, wildlife, history, and current issues of the world’s first national park.
